Jason Crawford
Jason Crawford has coached six seasons as an assistant and head basketball coach and is now excited to start his third season as a head coach with the Dallas Thunder, this time as the head coach for the Boys Middle School program. Coach Crawford takes player development seriously and works to instill a spirit of camaraderie, accountability, competition, a love for God, and a love for the game in the young men he coaches.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
Assistant Coach
Sharon Jackson
Assistant Coach Sharon Jackson has 19 years of coaching experience and joined the Thunder in 2019 as the High School Girl’s Assistant Coach. She coached 3 years with Thunder previously and is re-joining Thunder in 2024. She also coached 7 years with middle school boys and 5 years with middle school girls at HCYA. She has a passion for teaching basketball and developing fundamentals in players. She has been doing skills training over the past few years, yet she has been impactful in the lives of many players. Three of her children play/played Division I basketball (Wichita State, Liberty, UNC), with her oldest son being drafted in the NBA. She loves the process of teaching, developing, and watching them become the best version of themselves. Her goal is to help, encourage and push players in every way possible to reach their fullest God given potential. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, which includes two grandchildren.
One of her favorite verses is: Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
