Head Coach
Jason Holmes
Coach Jason Holmes has eight years of coaching experience and joined the Thunder in 2023 as the High School Boys Head Coach. He has coached high school for Max Levels and 3rd-12th grade with Impact Players. He has a passion for teaching basketball and cooking for his friends and family.
Coach Holmes played high school basketball at Jasper High School in Plano, Texas. He started coaching basketball as a sophomore in high school, and has been coaching / skills training full time since graduating. He loves the process of helping players grow and learn through the game and to encourage personal growth. With the goal of not only molding well rounded basketball players, but well rounded young men.
Coach Holmes was homeschooled until the 6th grade and grew up on the mission field in Mexico and Japan. One of his favorite verses is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13)
Assistant Coach
Eric Davis
Assistant Coach Eric Davis has four years of coaching experience and joined the Thunder in 2023 as the High School Boys Assistant. He has coached at various levels, including youth leagues, middle school, and high school teams, developing players’ skills and passion for basketball. He enjoys teaching basketball and seeing players improve their game and gain confidence on and off the court.
Coach Davis played high school basketball at JJ Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas. He loves the process of helping players develop and enhance their skill and IQ to help improve their overall game by using game situation drills and concepts to help players become more comfortable and confident in game situations.
One of his favorite verses is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13)
